What's the difference between compounded and brand-name medication?
Compounded medications are prepared by state-licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies based on a prescription. They are significantly more affordable than brand-name products, but they are not FDA-approved and the FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. Your provider will discuss whether a compounded or brand-name option is appropriate for you.
How fast will I get my medication?
Most assessments are reviewed within 24–48 hours. If a prescription is issued, medication typically ships the same or next business day with expedited delivery.
What side effects should I expect?
The most common side effects of GLP-1 medications are nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and reduced appetite, especially while your dose is increasing. Your provider starts you on a low dose and titrates gradually, and your care team is available by message if anything comes up. Serious side effects are rare but possible — your provider will review warnings with you before treatment.
