The most-prescribed starting point. Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist that helps regulate appetite and slow stomach emptying, so you feel full sooner and stay satisfied longer. In the STEP 1 clinical trial of semaglutide 2.4 mg, adults lost an average of ~15% of body weight over 68 weeks alongside diet and exercise.¹
A dual-action option: tirzepatide activates both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of tirzepatide, adults lost up to ~21% of body weight on the highest dose over 72 weeks alongside diet and exercise.² Often chosen by patients who plateaued on semaglutide or want the strongest studied effect.
Semaglutide in a daily sublingual tablet that dissolves under the tongue — no needles, no refrigeration, easy to travel with. A good fit if injections are a dealbreaker. Oral absorption differs from injections, and your provider will discuss realistic expectations.
Prefer the FDA-approved brand products? Our providers can prescribe Wegovy® (semaglutide) or Zepbound® (tirzepatide) to be filled at a retail or manufacturer pharmacy. Your membership covers the provider relationship, check-ins, and care-team support; you pay the pharmacy directly for medication, where insurance or manufacturer savings programs may reduce your cost substantially.
¹ Wilding et al., NEJM 2021 (STEP 1). ² Jastreboff et al., NEJM 2022 (SURMOUNT-1). Trial results reflect the FDA-approved products at trial doses with lifestyle intervention; compounded formulations were not studied in these trials. Individual results vary; no outcome is guaranteed.
