The questions we get most

Have a question about how Row Telehealth works? Start here. If you don't find what you're looking for, email our support team at support@rowtelehealth.com for account, billing, and shipping questions. Medical questions go to your provider through the patient portal.

Row Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself or others, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Getting started

What states do you serve?
Row Telehealth serves patients in 49 states. We do not currently serve California. Your visit is routed to a clinician licensed in the state where you are physically located at the time of your visit. Details are on our where we practice page.
How do consultations work?
Getting care with Row Telehealth is straightforward:
  • Create an account and complete a short intake questionnaire about your health history and the reason for your visit.
  • Connect with a licensed provider from our provider network by secure video or messaging, depending on your needs.
  • Get your plan. If appropriate, your provider will discuss a treatment plan and, where medically necessary, send a prescription to our pharmacy partner.
Most visits can be completed from your phone or computer, with no waiting room. Two consultation types are available: a $30 asynchronous visit, where a provider reviews your intake and responds in writing without a scheduled call, and a $55 live video visit with a provider. Full details are on the pricing page.
Do I choose between an asynchronous and a video visit?
Usually, yes. The visit type is determined by your preference and needs, and by the telehealth rules of the state you are in. Some states require a live video visit, especially to establish a relationship with a new provider, and in those states an asynchronous visit is not available for a first visit. If your state requires video and you booked an asynchronous visit, we will contact you to schedule a video visit before your review.
Who is your provider network?
Care is delivered by licensed clinicians in our provider network, LocumTele. A provider-patient relationship is formed only once a provider accepts you as a patient and begins care. Providers act within the scope of their license and their own independent professional judgment.

Prescriptions & shipping

Who is your pharmacy?
Prescriptions are fulfilled by our pharmacy partner, Rush Pharmacy. If your provider prescribes medication, the prescription is sent to Rush Pharmacy for processing and delivery. Pharmacies are independent and maintain their own privacy and operational practices.
How long does shipping take?
Once your provider issues a prescription and Rush Pharmacy processes it, orders typically ship within 2 to 3 business days and arrive within 4 to 5 business days, depending on your location and the medication. You'll receive tracking information by email once your order ships.
Will I be prescribed medication?
Not necessarily. Whether to prescribe any medication is entirely up to your provider's professional judgment. Using the services does not guarantee a prescription, and providers will not prescribe anything they determine is unsafe, unnecessary, or not appropriate for telehealth. If your provider reviews your assessment and does not issue a prescription, you are not charged for medication, though the consultation fee covering that review still applies. See the refund and cancellation policy.
How does a provider decide what to prescribe?
Your provider reviews what you submit at intake: health history, current medications and supplements, allergies, prior treatments, and the reason for your visit, plus anything else they ask you for. That is weighed against the clinical criteria, warnings, and contraindications for the treatment you're asking about. A provider may prescribe, ask follow-up questions, request labs or a live visit, suggest a different treatment, or decide that no prescription is appropriate. Where a medication is titrated, such as a GLP-1, providers generally start at a low dose and adjust over time based on how you respond and what you report at check-ins. Nothing is dispensed until a licensed provider in your state has reviewed your intake and determined that treatment is appropriate.
What is the difference between compounded and FDA-approved medication?
An FDA-approved medication has been reviewed by the FDA for safety and effectiveness and is made under FDA oversight. Brand GLP-1 products such as Wegovy® and Zepbound® are FDA-approved. A compounded medication is prepared for an individual patient by a state-licensed compounding pharmacy pursuant to a prescription, often combining or adjusting actives in a way no manufactured product offers. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed. Individual active ingredients may be FDA-approved even when the combined formulation is not. Your provider will discuss which option is clinically appropriate for you.

Payments & refunds

How much does it cost?
A consultation is $30 asynchronous or $55 for a live video visit. Monthly program pricing, where it applies, is listed on the pricing page. If you are paying out of pocket, you can request a good-faith estimate of expected charges before your visit by contacting support@rowtelehealth.com.
Are labs included in the price?
No. Visit fees and monthly program fees never include lab testing. Some programs require baseline or follow-up labs, and if your provider orders them, the lab bills you directly at its own price. You can use your insurance at the lab if you have it, or ask your care team about self-pay lab options before the order is placed. Details are on the pricing page.
Do you take insurance?
We do not bill insurance. Row Telehealth is self-pay, with flat pricing you see before you start, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted. If your provider prescribes a brand-name medication that is filled at a retail or manufacturer pharmacy, that pharmacy bills you directly, and your insurance may apply there. Current pricing and self-pay options are on the pricing page.
What is your refund policy?
If you are charged for a consultation that does not take place, or you cancel within our stated notice period, you are eligible for a refund of the consultation fee. Medications that have already shipped generally cannot be returned or refunded for safety reasons, as permitted by law. Full details, including what happens when a provider does not issue a prescription, are in our refund and cancellation policy.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel future billing at any time from your patient portal, or by emailing support@rowtelehealth.com before your next billing date. There are no contracts and no cancellation fee. Cancellation stops future charges. It does not retroactively refund charges already made, and medication that has already been dispensed or shipped is not refundable. See the refund and cancellation policy for the specifics.

Privacy & safety

Is my health information private?
Yes. Row Telehealth handles your protected health information in accordance with HIPAA, our privacy policy, and our notice of privacy practices. We do not sell your personal data. Please use our secure patient portal, rather than ordinary email or text, when sharing health information, those channels are not fully secure.
Can support answer a medical question?
No. Our support team handles account, order, billing, and shipping questions only. They cannot answer medical questions or give medical advice, however small the question. For anything about your health, symptoms, dosing, side effects, or treatment plan, message your provider through the patient portal so a licensed clinician answers you. If you email a medical question to support, you will be directed to the portal.
What if I have a medical emergency?
Row Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself or others, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Our providers cannot dispatch emergency responders.

Still have questions? Email support@rowtelehealth.com and our team will be happy to help with account, billing, and shipping questions. Medical questions go to your provider through the patient portal.
